Terms of Service

Plain English summary: You own your data. We provide the software. You're responsible for what you put in it. Don't misuse the service. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms. If something breaks, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
1. Acceptance
By creating a Zidaan account or using zidaan.app or site.zidaan.app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are using Zidaan on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
2. The Service
Zidaan is a project management platform that stores your project data locally on your device and in your own cloud storage backend. Zidaan provides the application software, authentication infrastructure, AI relay, and email services. We do not store, access, or process your project content.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice. We will give at least 30 days' notice before any material reduction in service capability.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at security@zidaan.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
One account per person. You may not share credentials or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
4. Plans, Billing, and Refunds
Free plan
The Free plan is provided at no cost and may be modified or discontinued with 30 days' notice. No credit card is required.
Paid plans
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually. Prices are shown in USD; equivalent pricing is available in CAD, AED, and SAR. Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy. All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Cancellation
You may cancel your paid plan at any time. Your plan features remain active until the end of the billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused time, except where required by law.
Refunds
We offer a 14-day refund on first-time paid plan subscriptions. Contact admin@zidaan.app within 14 days of your first payment. Subsequent renewals are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
Price changes
We will give at least 30 days' notice of price changes to existing subscribers before the change takes effect.
5. Your Data and Content
You own all project data you create in Zidaan. We do not claim any rights over your content. Because your project data is stored in your own cloud storage backend, you retain full control and possession of it at all times.
You are responsible for ensuring your use of Zidaan and the content you create complies with applicable law, including data protection laws in your jurisdiction.
If you delete your Zidaan account, we delete your identity data from our servers within 30 days. Your project data in your cloud storage is unaffected. You must manage that directly with your storage provider.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not use Zidaan to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
- Transmit malware, viruses, or any malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' data
- Conduct automated scraping, crawling, or data extraction beyond normal use
- Resell or sublicense the service without our written permission
- Use the AI relay to generate content that violates the terms of the underlying AI provider
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.
7. AI Features
Zidaan's AI features relay your prompts to third-party AI providers (Cerebras, Groq, or Anthropic depending on your plan). We do not log prompt content. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before acting on it. AI responses are not professional advice and may be inaccurate.
AI usage is subject to daily limits per plan. Limits may be adjusted with notice.
8. Intellectual Property
The Zidaan application, brand, and all software created by Zidaan are owned by Zidaan and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software without written permission.
These terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you beyond the limited licence to use the service as described here.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zidaan's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of Zidaan shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Zidaan against any claims, damages, and costs (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these terms or your use of the service in a way that harms a third party.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings, then Account, then Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. We will give reasonable notice except where immediate action is required for security or legal reasons.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Zidaan is registered. For enterprise customers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, or Canada, we are willing to agree on applicable law and jurisdiction in a separate written agreement. Contact admin@zidaan.app.
We encourage resolving disputes informally first. Contact us at admin@zidaan.app and we will make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue within 30 days.
14. Changes to These Terms
We will notify registered users by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Zidaan after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
